Russian, Gypsy, Jewish, Ukrainian and Cossack Music and Dance Trio Barynya has performed three concerts in Boston area on Thursday, August 6th, 2015. First show started at 10:30AM at the Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, 170 Corey Rd, Brighton, MA 02135. Second performance took place at the Cambridge Homes, a Senior Living Residence, 360 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 at 2:30PM. And the third concert started after 6:30PM at the Neville Place Assisted Living, 650 Concord Ave, Cambridge MA 02138. Elina Karokhina (balalaika), Alisa Egorova (dancer), and Leonid Bruk (balalaika-contrabass) performed a mix of Russian, Ukrainian, Gypsy and Jewish music and dances. Music selections insluded popular, classical and traditional music and songs from Russia and from around the world: Andreev's Waltz "Daydreams", Russian folk dance "Kamarinskaya", Somewhere my love from "Dr. Zhivago" movie, "The Moon Is Shining Brightly", "The Peddlers", "Yablocko", "Ural Mountains dance", "Angry Husband", Onegin's Name Day Waltz, Mozart's Turkish Rondo, "Dark Eyes", "Gypsy Roma Medley", Shostakovich Waltz #2, "Chardash", Balalaika Medley, Valenki (Felt Boots). The trio is available for hire for the performing art centers, school assemblies, festivals, colleges, libraries, concert halls, restaurants, private and corporate events.
